Free Site Check: see your website the way Google does.
Type your domain and your email address and get a plain-English green, amber or red report on this page in about 20 seconds.
Free. It asks for your email address, and I keep it with the domain you checked so I can follow up. You can unsubscribe any time. Privacy Policy.
How to read the report
- GreenWe looked and found nothing worth your attention.
- AmberWorth understanding. It often has an innocent explanation.
- RedNeeds a closer look. We say what we saw and what it might mean.
- BlueA check we cannot run for you, with a link so you can do it in a minute.
The check
Type your domain and your email.
It reads your public pages the way a browser and Googlebot would, and it never changes anything on your site. Your report appears on this page as soon as it is done. If you also want a PDF copy, tick the second box and I will email it to you.
Result for example-business.com
Some results need a closer look.

- 1 amber
- 1 green
Does Google see the same page you do?
What Google gets is materially different from what a normal browser gets. That is the pattern a hidden compromise often leaves, though a firewall or a personalisation plugin can also cause some differences.
Login names visible from outside
2 login names are visible to anyone who asks your site. This is how WordPress works by default and is not a sign of a break-in, but it gives anyone guessing passwords half of what they need.
Homepage loads, and over HTTPS
Your homepage loaded (status 200) in under a second. HTTPS is working.
Made-up example for illustration. Your real report lists every check, with details you can open.
What we check and what we do not
Quick, and honest about its limits.
It automates what a tool can do from the outside, and gives you links for the rest so you can finish the job yourself.
We check
- Your homepage. That it loads, that HTTPS works, and where it ends up after redirects.
- What Google sees. Your homepage as a normal browser, as Googlebot, and as a visitor arriving from Google, side by side.
- Spam words. Casino, pharmacy, payday-loan, gambling and adult words on your homepage and in your sitemap, and how many pages the sitemap lists.
- Login names. Whether your site shows its usernames to anyone who asks.
- WordPress plugins. When each plugin we can see was last updated by its developer, and which WordPress version your site shows.
We do not
- Log in or change anything. We read public pages only.
- Scan your files for malware.A clean result means we found nothing on the surface, not that nothing is there.
- Run Google searches or open Search Console for you.You get the links for the page count, the three probe searches and Search Console.
- Prove your site is safe.A site that hides things only from Google’s own servers can still look clean here.
- Sell your email address. We keep your email and the domain you checked so I can follow up. You can unsubscribe any time.
The six checks come from “Six things you can check yourself this afternoon” on the story page.
If something looks wrong
Do not delete anything yet.
Deleting before you understand how someone got in is how people end up cleaning the same site over and over. A second administrator account, a backdoor in a theme file or a scheduled task can put everything back. A red result is a reason to slow down, not to start deleting.
Write it down.
Take screenshots of what you saw and note the date and time, including the result from this page.
Leave things where they are.
Do not delete pages, users or plugins, even the ones that look wrong. They are evidence.
Hold off on restoring.
Do not restore an old backup over the site yet. The backup may carry the same problem.
Call or text.
Describe what you saw. You will get a straight answer on what it probably means before anything is touched.
If you want it handled
The Site Rescue: find it, fix it, get back online.
- $997, fixed, quoted up front. No hourly billing.
- A full backup before any change, and every change logged.
- A written report: what was found, what was fixed, what is left.
- If your site turns out to be fine, it is the same $997 and you get the straight answer.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no payment. In return the tool asks for your email address, and you agree that I may send you occasional emails about keeping your website safe and visible in search. You can unsubscribe at any time. The aim is that you leave knowing more about your site, whether or not you ever call.
What do you keep?
Your email address, the domain you checked, how many red, amber and green results it had, the time, a record of your consent, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your connection address. I keep these so I can follow up, until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. If you unsubscribe, your address stays on a do-not-contact list so I do not email you again. A finished report is held for 10 minutes so a repeat check is instant, then it expires. If you tick the PDF box, the PDF is built on the spot and emailed once through my email sender, and I do not keep a copy of it. Your email address is handled by the GoDaddy-hosted mail service that delivers it. To limit abuse, a scrambled form of your connection address is also held for up to a day. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Can I get a PDF copy of my report?
Yes. Tick “Also email me a PDF copy of my report” before you run the check. Your report still appears on this page straight away, and the PDF is emailed once to the address you typed, from stevie@jacques.media. It has the same green, amber and red results, the date, and what to do next. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, look in your spam folder. If the email cannot be sent, your report is still on the page and you can print or save it.
How do I unsubscribe, or have my details deleted?
Use the unsubscribe page, or the unsubscribe link at the bottom of my marketing emails. To have your details deleted, email jacques@sosstevie.com or call (754) 302-4631 and say so.
Does green mean my site is safe?
No. Green means nothing alarming showed up from the outside. The check cannot see inside your files, and it cannot see what the real Googlebot gets if a site treats Google’s servers differently. Treat green as good news, not a guarantee.
My site is fine, so why did it say amber or red?
Several harmless things can cause it: a firewall that refuses automated checks, a cookie banner, a recent rebrand, or a business that really is in a field like gambling. Open the details under each result. They say what we saw and what it might mean.
Can I check a site that is not mine?
Please check only sites you own or manage. The tool reads public pages only, but it is built for owners. Each site can be checked once every 10 minutes, and each visitor gets a few checks an hour.
